Welcome to our newest members:
And we wished Bonne journée to Al Cox who will be returning to Mississauga, Ontario, until next January…we will miss his unique style
of trumpet virtuosity.

We were pleased have two banjomen (a new noun?) back with us: Steve Zell made his annual appearance, and a returning Dave Train was
great on his vocals, too.
Doris Hammond, Ted Hammond’s widow, and her family, presented a check of $700 from The Ted Hammond Fund to The Junior Jazz Foundation’s representative,
Lois Masteller. Ted, who played bass with us for several years, requested donations to our Society which initiated The Ted Hammond
Fund in 2005. The Junior Jazz Foundation will direct the contents of the Fund to assist a young bassist in his/her education.
