WOW!  The January Sunday Jam was a “sell-out” and we apologize to the folks who couldn’t get in.  Historically, January, February, and March have been sell-outs, so to be more assured of a table, it would be wise to get to The Jazz Corner by 1:30.

The Jazz Corner

features music seven nights

a week…and the meals are outstanding.

 Check their schedule at www.thejazzcorner.com

Welcome to our newest members:

We were pleased to welcome back Canadian trumpet aficionado, Al Cox. He joined in with the other 26 musicians.

Verneta Matt

The Foundation supports and fosters programs that advance the preservation, enhancement, education, understanding, and appreciation of jazz as an art form.  You, the members, are to be heartily thanked for your memberships, personal attendance, and monetary support!  It sounds trivial but true:

“We couldn’t have done it without you!”  See Page 4.

The Alligators divided themselves up into two bands to distribute the musicians more evenly.

The tip jar collection of $184 was donated to The American Red Cross Haiti Disaster Relief Fund.  We thank you for your support!

Join our Mardi Gras Celebration!

Alan Waitley, President of the DJSLC, presented a check of $2,000 to Lois Masteller of The Jazz Corner to be directed to The Junior Jazz Foundation Fund.
