On a sad note, we are very sorry to

Abbie was born in Cleveland, Ohio, to Sanford William Smith and Dorothy Winder Smith. She is survived by her ex-husband, Donald Campbell; her sister, Joyce Kash and niece, Kami; her children, Kirt, Dawn, Peggy, Annie, and Kathy; and her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a foster parent for more than 20 years. She studied voice all through high school and was a voice major at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, and later earned a degree in Psychology at Eberhard University. For more than 25 years, Abbie was well known for her deep, well cultured vocalizations while in the choir at First Presbyterian Church and the Dixieland Jazz Society of the Lowcountry . A Memorial Service will be on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at 3:00 pm at Firs Presbyterian Church in Hilton Head Island. In lieu of flowers, tax deductible checks may be made out to The Junior Jazz Foundation in Memory of Abbie Campbell, c/o Community Foundation of the lowcountry, PO Box 23019, Hilton Head Island, SC 29925.
