Once again, two bands furnished the entertainment for the afternoon at our Annual October Halloween Bash at The Jazz Corner: Mel Slotnick’sAlligator Dixieland Jazz Band and Steve Rich’s Original Port Royal Sound Dixieland Jazz Band provided fabulous entertainment
for the nearly packed Jazz Corner.

We learned recently that Dr. Al Crawford passed away. Al was our regular banjo player from 1993-1999 prior to moving back to
Tennessee to be closer to family. He was a founding member of The Alligator Dixieland Jazz Band in 1998 and most of our present musicians
have been using his Dixieland charts known as “The Crawford Book”.
