Hurricane Matthew update,
mid November
Coming up: 12/18, 1/29, 2/26
Seventeen musicians were on stage and
eighty Dixieland Fans gave them all
their attention. The Alligators took the
first long set, the duet of Teri and
Larry Kopp
played several songs
during intermission, and The Original
Port Royal Sound
took it out.
Well done, guys and gals!
The island now is recovering from
a devastating hurricane on October
7 & 8 with winds up to 70-90 mph.
Now, 5 weeks later, trees are still
being removed and it will be many
months until debris is cleared from
the island. Damages to countless
homes will be an ongoing
problem. It will never be the same.
But, if you plan on coming to the
island as a visitor, “come on
down”! Beaches are good, many
golf courses will be in business,
and The Jazz Corner is awaiting
your return!
…..Don’t Forget….
Dixieland Jam will be held on
December 18th;
